This Brings Back Memories

This morning, my daughter was watching The Snorks on Boomerang. Boomerang is a cable channel by Cartoon Network. It features classic cartoons like Tom and Jerry, the Flinstones, and even fairly recent cartoons like Baby Looney Toons and Pokemon.
The Snorks were on this morning and it brought back memories of when I was a young child. I was amazed to see my own daughter watch a cartoon that was around when I was her age.

Government is trying to be a parent again. This is why read the bills act must be passed.
The reason why I support reading the bills before you pass it. The Port Security bill was passed recently, with a provision in the bill that prohibits online gambling.
What does security at ports have to do with online gambling. You may click here to to find out all of the details of online gambling ban.
This is outrageous to add something that has nothing to do with American security. There are several links in the post that will give information.

More Games I found and enjoy

On I found a game called 50 states. The game begins with a map of the US and you drag a state from the top of the page and place it in appropriate location. Very fun and somewhat challenging.

On, which features other miscellaneous videos, features an air hockey game. Most people know how to play air hockey so I won't go into too much detail.

Fantasy Congress/

I heard about this website on the radio while driving to work today. It is very similar to fantasy football, but only with U.S. Congress and Senators. The name of the sight is Fantasy Congress.(, the link is below.) You pick sixteen members of congress from both house. Points are scored when a bill they sponsor or co-sponsor makes it out of committee. More points are scored when the bill passes through Senate, House and vice verse. Ultimately the highest amount of points are scored when the President signs the bill.
There are profiles of all current members of congress, you may check voting record, etc.
I looked at the web site and decided I should join. It really interested me after reading how the game is played. Anyone interested may click here to go to the website.

Sunday Post #5

Third Political Parties in the US.
I decided to focus this post on Third Parties, since they are usually kept out of the media and political limelight.
Third Parties are kept silent for many reasons. Many political candidates feel they may take away votes. This has been something that countless hours have been spent on in the courtrooms trying to keep Third party candidates off the ballots. Do I feel it is right? Absolutely not. I agree with Ralph Nader that Americans should have more than two choices. Do I always agree with Ralph Nader? Again, absolutely not.
Some people believe that it is only a two party system. They actually believe you must be a Democrat or a Republican to get into office.
Nowhere in the constitution does it state you must be in a political party or which one to be in. Try to find Democrat or Republican in the constitution. There are third party politicians right now serving at local levels. The Libertarian party claims to have over 500 people in elected office now.
I am going to post links to a few third parties

The Green Party
The Libertarian Party
The Constitution Party
The Moderate Party
The Reform Party
The Populist Party
